When I write someone, it’s because I actually think they’re willing the 5-minute investment in a personalized message. If I can’t muster up anything more than a generic copypasta form letter, they’re a generic person, completely interchangeable with any other person. I don’t want a generic person, I want someone special to me.
But maybe you enjoy settling for just anyone.
