There has been a template going around the Internet that is meant to help understand one’s gender and sexual orientation. This template has caused some discussions in trans, asexual and possibly other communities for not being complete or correct.
Somehow I find other’s mistakes or misunderstandings the most inspiring things in life, because I will try my best to correct them, which can be annoying to others sometimes.. Anyway, I started thinking about all the changes and additions that needed to be made in order to include everyone and it was much more complex then I could have imagined. So far I came up with this:
Sex
Male———————————————————————-Female
Gender Identity
Male———-———Genderqueer*———————-Female
Cisgender————Genderqueer*———Transgender
*If desired, genderqueer can be further specified as
Agender——Bigender———Trigender——Pangender
Fluidity***
Gender static——————————————Gender fluid
Gender role
Male——————————————————————Female
Gender expression
Masculine—————Androgyne—————Feminine
Sexual orientation
Attracted to male—-Neutral*—-Attracted to female
* If desired, sexual orientation can be further specified as
Asexual—-Monosexual—-Polysexual**—-Pansexual
Romantic orientation
Attracted to male—-Neutral*—-Attracted to female
* If desired, romantic orientation can be further specified as
Aromantic—-Monoromantic—-Polyromantic**—-Panromantic
Number of possible romantic relations ***
Nonamorous———-Monoamorous————Polyamorous
Moment of attraction***
Nonsexual———-Demisexual———-Instant Attraction
Libido
Low————————————————————————-High
**Yes, this can mean bisexual, but it stands for any orientation where a person is attracted to more than one but not all genders.
***Some of these terms may have been made-up.
For explanations of most of these terms, Google, Wikipedia and common sense are great tools. If you have questions about the terms I made-up feel free to leave a question in my ask box.
Somehow I still have the feeling I’m forgetting something and I’m definitely not saying this is all possible variation and other feelings are invalid.
I can only hope this will cause discussions, because discussions and conversation is essential to understanding and acceptance. I hope this template can help people understand and communicate their feelings and identity. So please feel free to ask questions, suggest, comment, complain, fill in or share.
UPDATE: Changed ‘Number of romantic relations’ to ‘Number of possible romantic relations’. Wondering which word is best put in the middle for romantic and sexual orientation: neutral, other, queer… Maybe I should just leave it black. Suggestions?

Yes! The conversion process is going well. Soon, we’ll...
